Welcome to Treasure Hunters! We’re Beckie and Jill – we met and became friends over 20 years ago when we worked for beloved Michigan based retailer Jacobson’s Stores. Beckie served as the company’s corporate manager of public relations & special events and Jill was a buyer in the designer division. In those days, we bonded over our love of fashion and later discovered our shared passion for antiques, the hunt for vintage treasures and decorating interiors. We enjoy shopping flea markets and estate sales together and appreciate each other’s unique tastes/styles. Beckie loves paintings, vintage chairs and old books. Jill enjoys vintage bakeware, old lamps and goes crazy for old needlepoint.
In 2015, we opened a little shop we called ‘Beck & Jill’ where we sold some of the treasures we’ve gathered along the way. We had so much fun sharing and selling our finds, merchandising the shop and inspiring others to incorporate vintage pieces into their homes. Unfortunately, it became tough for us to manage with a full-time job and busy kids schedules so we closed after a few years.
While we don’t have our brick & mortar shop anymore, we still share a love of treasure hunting and are so excited to share our finds and inspiration here on the blog. We hope you will follow along with us!
